About Us
WE ARE A FAMILY OF LOCAL CHURCHES
Under the Lordship (Head of the Church) of the Lord Jesus Christ, we, the Churches of Christ are His body (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
We do not have a human founder but the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18).
We do not have a centralized government but each local church leaders are the ones responsible for the equipping of the saints (Ephesians 4:11-12).
We believe and preach the Gospel (Death, Burial, and Ressurection) of the Lord Jesus Christ because He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
"What must we do to be saved?" is the most important question any human being can ever ask. Apostle Peter reiterated that the word of God endures forever (1 Peter 1:25). When one believes that the Word of God is infalible (wala nasayop), he/she must accept the full context of the Biblical truth, especially when it comes to salvation.
The New Testament outines five (5) important elements of salvation, that is, each of these elements are necessary.
Hear the Word : Any person wh has not been aware nor had heard the Word of God, he/she cannot respond nor obey it. Because faith comes through hearing, and hearing comes through theWord of God (Romans 10:17).
Believe the Word : Any person who does not know nor beleive that Jesus is the Christ/Savior/Messiah and Son of God, he/she is not a Christian (John 20:31, Acts 16:31, John 3:16).
Repentance of Sins : Repentance is a commitment to change one's mind. In repentance, a person changes his/her mind from being carnal unto thinking and doing things in submission to the will of God and following the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a neccesity to one's salvation (Mark 6:12, Luke 13:5, Luke 15:7).
Confess Jesus Christ to others : Public confession and sharing about the Lord Jesus Christ is one way for a Christian to tell his/her allegiance to his/her Lord Jesus Christ. A Christian know and beleive that if he/she won't confess Jesus Christ before men, He won't confess him/her before God (Matthew 10:32-33, Luke 12:8-9).
Be Baptized into Jesus Christ : Water baptism is not just some "outward show of an inward faith" nor "for membership". Baptism completes the elements of salvation (1 Peter 3:21). It is NOT a "work done by the one being baptized" but an "act of obedience by the one who is commsioned to do the water baptism" (Matthew 28:19-20). Water baptism is the point where someone goes from being "lost" to being "saved", as he/she takes part in the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 6:4-5). Baptism is the final element of becoming a Christian and being saved (Acts 2:37-38, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:41, Acts 8:26-40).
Anyone who has gone all these elements, he/she then must seek a local family, a congregation (members of the Body of Christ, His Churches) to whom he/she would have a fellowship of fellow Christian who help each other grow in the knowledge and practice of God's Word (1 Peter 2:2, Hebrews 10:24-25).
